Privacy Policy

Information you provide

When you sign up for Bliish, you choose a display name, username, and password (your password is hashed and we never see or store it in plain text). You also provide an email address so we can verify your account and contact you if needed. Optionally, you can add a profile photo, bio, or location. Everything you post (photos, comments, likes, and friend connections) is stored so that the service works as you'd expect.

Information collected automatically

Like every website, our servers generate basic technical logs when you visit Bliish. This is how the web works, not something specific to us. These logs help us keep the service running smoothly and prevent abuse. IP addresses are not stored long-term. We also use privacy-focused analytics to understand overall usage patterns (for example, which pages are most popular) so we can improve performance.

Ads and data selling

Bliish does not serve ads and will never sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers. We do not build advertising profiles about you or monetize your attention. We use analytics to improve the service, but this data stays with us and our infrastructure providers. It is never sold, licensed, or shared for marketing purposes.

How we use your information

Your information is used to make Bliish work: showing your posts to friends, delivering notifications, and diagnosing technical issues, and to keep the community safe through content moderation and abuse prevention. That's it.

Your feed

Bliish uses a strictly chronological feed. There is no algorithm deciding what you see, no engagement-based ranking, and no machine learning model optimizing for your attention. Posts from your friends appear in the order they were published, newest first. Friend suggestions are based on mutual connections, not behavioral analysis.

Search engine indexing

Your profile, posts, photos, and all personal content on Bliish are blocked from search engine indexing. We serve noindex and nofollow directives on all authenticated pages, and our robots.txt only allows crawlers to access public pages like the homepage and this policy. Your content will not appear in Google, Bing, or any other search engine results.

Device access

Bliish never requests access to your camera, microphone, or location. These browser permissions are explicitly disabled at the platform level. The only location information on Bliish is what you choose to type into your profile or posts. When third-party content is embedded (such as YouTube videos), we use privacy-enhanced modes that limit tracking by the embed provider.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Bliish, including providers for hosting, storage, and content moderation. These providers only process your data as necessary to deliver their service to us and are contractually bound to protect it. Content submitted for moderation is screened for safety only and is not used to train AI models.

Third-party sign-in

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google only handles the authentication step: verifying your identity so you don't need a separate password. Google receives no access to your Bliish data: not your posts, your friends, your messages, or your activity. We only receive your email address and basic profile name to create or link your account. Using third-party sign-in is entirely optional.

Content moderation

To keep Bliish safe, all user-generated content is automatically screened for violations of our community guidelines, including illegal content, spam, and harassment. This screening is performed by an automated moderation system at the time of posting. Content flagged by our systems may be reviewed by our team and removed without prior notice if it violates these guidelines.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Access to user data is strictly limited to team members who need it to operate the service. The data controller responsible for your personal data is Bliish LLC, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110 (NM Entity No. 0008095152).

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Temporary technical logs are retained for no more than 30 days and then automatically deleted. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, and associated media are removed from Bliish within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated statistics (such as total user counts) may be retained indefinitely.

Cookies and sessions

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you logged in, nothing more. You can log out at any time to clear your session.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. You can edit your profile information in Settings, request a copy of your data, or request full account deletion from the Settings page. For any privacy-related requests, contact us at hi@bliish.com.

Children's privacy

Bliish is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account, we will promptly delete their data. If you believe a child under 13 is using Bliish, please contact us at hi@bliish.com.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you via the app or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Bliish after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. Last updated: March 2026.
