Identity masking and display controls

Identity masking and display controls

How identity masking, reduced motion, disabled filters, and App theme only work on Bliish.

Short answer

Identity masking hides usernames and blurs user media while you browse. Display controls can also reduce motion, hide filters, or show only your app theme.

Identity masking

Identity masking is a browsing control. It replaces most user names with masked labels and blurs user media so you can browse with less identity detail on screen. The official Bliish identity can remain visible for orientation.

Turn it on
1Open Settings.
2Find Identity masking and turn it on.
3Turn it off again when you want normal names and media previews back.
What it does not do
Identity masking does not make your own posts anonymous.
It does not change who can see your content or bypass group and friend rules.
Use block, report, or privacy-aware posting choices for safety issues.

Block, report, and moderation

Block accounts to limit contact. Report content or behavior that needs review, especially harassment, spam, impersonation, or unsafe content.

Use Lite and fix loading issues

Lite is a simpler way to use core parts of Bliish when your device, connection, or full app experience is struggling.
